The Norsemen played New Haven u23's this past Saturday at home in the Quarter finals. It was a very wet and rainy day in Plymouth and to make matters worse the referee cancelled so some last minute arrangements had to be made.
Because the weather was so poor it made passing kicking and running very difficult so the Norsemen had to step it up on defense, and they did. Plymouth dominated the whole game which pleased the many Norsemen fans who still came out to support us. Plymouth scored 6 tries in all the first being from Tommy Lyle who made a huge half field run. The rest of the tries came from Bill Kolaski (2) Nate Fox, Kevin Casey, and Phil Livsey scoring his first ever try. Bill Kolaski also converted 3 kicks making the final score 36-17.
This was a great performance from Plymouth despite the sloppy play which the weather created. They are now preparing to go to Rhode Island for the New England Championship where they will face Bryant (the 2nd seed and the only other undefeated team other than Plymouth still in the playoffs). If they beat Bryant on Saturday they face the winner of Keene State vs. Wheaton.
